This publication considers the Financial Reporting Council’s (FRC's) Discussion Paper on succession planning. The FRC Discussion Paper examines the key issues, seeks to identify suggestions for good practice and considers how the nomination committee can play its role more effectively. The paper is the result of discussions the FRC has held with a number of interested parties and analysis of other relevant research. There are a series of questions at the end of each section and the FRC is keen to gather views to shape their future thinking.
