Deloitte's IFRS Insurance Webcasts, hosted by Francesco Nagari, Global IFRS Insurance Leader, provide a summary of the agenda and featured discussions of each of the International Accounting Standards Board's monthly meetings on its project to produce a new IFRS for insurance contracts.
The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) completed its planned technical decisions on the accounting for insurance contracts at its January 2016 meeting. Accordingly, at the February 2016 meeting the staff will ask the Board to review the due process steps taken in developing the new insurance contracts Standard and ask permission to begin the balloting process for the new IFRS.
