The International Accounting Standards Board met on February 22, 2017 to address findings from the external editorial review of the draft IFRS 17 Standard.

On January 18, 2017, the IASB Staff announced a delay in the publication of IFRS 17 from March to May 2017 due to sweep issues identified during the second balloted external review of the draft Standard. During its February meeting, the IASB discussed three papers relating to final sweep issues concerning an exemption for the grouping of insurance contracts when pricing is affected by regulatory constraints, the accounting for changes in the CSM, and addressing the need for further guidance or clarification on 29 additional sweep issues.
