We are now providing a pre-meeting summary on the agenda and featured discussions ahead of each IASB board meeting. Please visit our meeting note page on IAS Plus for ongoing updates and information. IASB published a document Insurance Contracts: Exposure Draft & Comment letters on December 9, 2015 to seek public comments on the proposed amendments of IFRS 4. This is to address the temporary consequences of the different effective dates of IFRS 9, Financial Instruments and the new insurance contracts Standards. The Board proposed two amendments to IFRS 4 to supplement existing options within the Standards that could be used to address any accounting volatility that may arise: the overlay approach and the deferral approach. NOTE: This webcast will be offered in English only.
