At its meeting on February 11-12, 2019, the AASOC considered whether the AASB had followed due process with regard to the public interest in making the approving the new Section 7170, Auditor’s Consent to the Use of the Auditor’s Report in Connection with a Designated Document. Following a discussion, the AASOC concluded that the AASB had followed due process with proper regard for the public interest in developing and approving Section 7170.
