On December 2, 2015, the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) released the discussion paper "From Crisis to Confidence: the Role of Good Regulation," where they discuss the evolving global regulatory environment and its role in improving growth, investment, and stability.

The paper focuses on the importance of globally consistent “good regulation” to underpin confidence in the global economy. It examines the impact, benefits, and costs of the current regulatory landscape, and compares internationally recognized principles of good regulation.
