Apr 07, 2016

On April 7, 2016, the Securities and Exchange Commission issued a notice to solicit public comments on the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board’s proposed amendments to Rule 4003, “Frequency of Inspections.” The amendments would (1) eliminate triennial inspections of firms that play a substantial role in audits but do not issue audit reports, and (2) eliminate references to “substantial role only” firms and modify other definitions.

For more information, see the notice on the SEC’s Web site.
