On September 28, 2010, the International Accounting Standards Board and the Financial Accounting Standards Board completed the first phase of their joint project to develop an improved and converged conceptual framework for International Financial Reporting Standards and US generally accepted accounting principles with their issue of Conceptual Framework for Financial Statements 2010.
