FASB-IASB letter to G20 finance ministers

The chairmen of the IASB and FASB have written to the G20 finance ministers to explain the reasons that the boards are planning to revise the timing of a few of their convergence projects beyond June 2011.

The G20 finance ministers are meeting in Busan, Korea on 4-5 June 2010. In September 2009, the G20 Urged the IASB and FASB 'to redouble their efforts to achieve a single set of high quality, global accounting standards within the context of their independent standard setting process, and complete their convergence project by June 2011.'
