Government publishes guidance on new directors' remuneration regulations

The government has published a set of answers to frequently asked questions on the Companies (Directors’ Remuneration Policy and Directors’ Remuneration Report) Regulations 2019 (the Regulations).

The guidance is designed to help companies and other interested parties to understand the new reporting requirements in the Regulations, which were made on 22 May 2019 and took effect from 10 June 2019. It provides an overview of the changes and addresses some frequently asked questions, including explaining the scope of the Regulations and the timing of application.
