EPRA Annual Report Survey 2015/16

Published on: 16 Sep 2016

This survey comprises a review of 117 annual reports from leading listed real estate companies across Europe to assess compliance with the European Public Real Estate Association’s (EPRA's) Best Practices Recommendations (BPR), last updated in December 2014.

There was a rush for gold this year, with 14 new companies achieving the Gold Award, bringing the number of companies earning the highest award to 46. 60% of the companies surveyed by market capitalisation now achieve the Gold Award. Some 26 companies included in the survey last year managed a higher award this year and 69% of EPRA index constituents received an award, compared to only 50% two years ago. By market capitalisation, these award winning companies represent 81% of the FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Europe Index constituents.

The importance of EPRA performance measures is also being recognised by more and more companies, with 77% of the FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Europe Index constituents (89% by market capitalisation) now disclosing at least three EPRA performance measures.
