The FASB will host two public roundtable meetings in December to discuss the proposals in its insurance contracts exposure draft. The first roundtable will be December 2, 2013, in Norwalk, Connecticut, and the second on December 16, 2013, in Rosemont, Illinois.

The roundtable meetings are designed to provide constituents an opportunity to discuss the proposals in more detail directly with the Board. The Board is seeking participation from preparers, auditors, investors, and others to ensure a variety of perspectives.

The December 2 roundtable meeting will focus on the "building block approach" and the "premium allocation approach," while the December 16 meeting will cover nonpublic and medium-sized entities and the scope considerations and topics related to the building block approach and premium allocation approach."

Application forms for both roundtables are requested by November 1, 2013.
