The FASB has launched a new quarterly electronic newsletter, "FASB Outlook," to provide high-level information about its projects and inform stakeholders about key FASB activities. "FASB Outlook" provides quick access to information on current accounting and financial reporting issues in a plain-English format.

The first edition of FASB Outlook features the following content:

  • What you need to know about revenue recognition.
  • Focus on footnotes — A discussion on voluntary disclosures by public companies.
  • On the agenda — How the FASB will decide the next phase of the Board's agenda and the projects that it will undertake.
  • Video featuring a conversation with John Gerspach, CFO of Citigroup and FASAC member.
  • Interview with FASB vice chairman Jim Kroeker.

The FASB Outlook e-newsletter is available on the FASB's Web site.
