SEC appoints new chief accountant in its enforcement division

Today, the SEC has named Michael F. Maloney as its new chief accountant in the SEC’s Division of Enforcement.

Mr. Maloney brings over 25 years of experience relating to financial accounting and reporting. Before joining the SEC, he was a managing director at Navigant Consulting Inc., where he managed its forensic accounting practice. He was also a partner at Arthur Andersen LLP and taught forensic accounting at Georgetown University.
