New issue of “FASB Outlook” published

The FASB has published the second issue of its quarterly e-newsletter, "FASB Outlook," which provides high-level information about the FASB’s projects and key activities.

This issue of "FASB Outlook" features:

  • Chairman Russ Golden’s reflections on the FASB’s remaining joint projects with the IASB.
  • A discussion of the FASB’s new Accounting Standards Update on discontinued operations.
  • An article on how and why the FASB obtains decision-useful information from investors.
  • An announcement of the FASB’s new XBRL taxonomy simplification initiative.
  • Video interviews with FASB Technical Director Sue Cosper and Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council (FASAC) Chairman Steven Buller.
