Yesterday, the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) issued a supplemental request for comments on its proposed reorganization of its auditing standards. The proposed framework reorders and renumbers the standards “without redrafting the standards, imposing new requirements on auditors, or making substantive changes to the requirements.”

In addition to detailing the amendments to PCAOB standards and rules needed to implement the framework and proposing minor refinements to the original proposed framework , the release contains information on how interested parties can access the “online demonstration version” of the proposed changes, which the PCAOB recently posted to its Web site.

Comments on the release are due by July 8, 2014. For more information, see the press release on the PCAOB’s Web site.
