Research Programme - Update - Agenda paper 8
This paper gave a general update on activities in the research programme and asked whether the Board had any comments on the programme. Appendix A listed the active research projects and those that are in the research pipeline.
Discussion
The Board had no major concerns on the programme.
The Staff noted that they had started working on the scoping phase of the PIR on IFRS 13. In response to a Board member’s question, the Staff replied that there would not be any discussion on negative interest rates in the discount rate research project; however, given the level of interest on that topic, they would consider preparing some materials for an education session.
