US Senate confirms Christopher Cox as SEC Chairman

On 29 July 2005, the United States Senate confirmed President Bush's nomination of Christopher Cox, a Republican member of the US House of Representatives for the past 16 years, as a member and chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission for a term expiring 5 June 2009. The Senate also approved the reappointment of Roel C.

Campos as a member of the five-person Commission for a term expiring 5 June 2010 and the appointment of Annette L. Nazareth as a Commissioner for the remainder of a term expiring 5 June 2007. (PDF 58k).
