IFAC calls for nominations for its boards

The International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) has issued a call for nominations to fill a total of 22 vacancies on its various standard-setting boards which will arise in 2015.

The Call for Nominations for the Independent Standard-Setting Boards in 2015 document (link to IFAC website) outlines vacancies on the following bodies:

  • International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) - total of 7 vacancies
  • International Accounting Education Standards Board (IAESB) - 4 vacancies
  • International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA) - 7 vacancies
  • International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (IPSASB) - 4 vacancies.

In some cases, current members of the above bodies are eligible to be reappointed. The IFAC call for nominations document outlines the specific categories of members for each board and numbers eligible for reappointment, and also provides a useful summary of the operations of each board and its strategic priorities.
