Former IASC Member becomes Chairman of the Japanese Standard-Setter

The Japanese Financial Accounting Standards Foundation (FASF) has announced that Yukio Ono will become next Chairman of the Accounting Standards Board of Japan (ASBJ).

Mr. Ono has been a Partner with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in Japan since 1985, serving as Chairman of the Board from 2010 until 2013. From 1992 until 1995 he was a member of the International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC), the predecessor of the IASB. Mr. Ono’s term as ASBJ Chairman will begin on 1 April 2014.
