ASX reminds companies about various June reporting and related obligations

The Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) has issued a Companies Update outlining a number of matters, including proposed carbon tax disclosure, annual and half-yearly reporting for periods ended 30 June 2011, and confirmation of Listing Rule amendments having come into effect.
Details include:
- Proposed Carbon Tax disclosure - the effect of the proposed carbon tax (as announced by the Australian Federal Government on 10 July 2011) is a matter for each listed entity to consider under the continuous disclosure obligations
- Annual and half-yearly reporting for periods ended 30 June 2011 - how documents are to be presented, the information required for distributions, providing the audit or review report to the ASX
- Confirmation of Listing Rule amendments having come into effect - listing rules concerning the composition of the remuneration committee for listed entities in the S&P/ASX 300 came into effect on 1 July 2011
- Other - upcoming 'non-business days', communications.
