IFRS Foundation translations update

The IFRS Foundation has announced the publication of new French, Spanish and Turkmen translations.

The translations are:

  • French translation of Consolidated Financial Statements, Joint Arrangements and Disclosure of Interests in Other Entities: Transition Guidance (Amendments to IFRS 10, IFRS 11 and IFRS 12), as issued in English by the IASB in June 2012.
  • Spanish translation of Annual Improvements to IFRSs 2009–2011 Cycle, as issued in English by the IASB in May 2012.
  • Turkmen translation of the requirements of:
    • IAS 1 Presentation of Financial Statements;
    • IAS 2 Inventories; and
    • IAS 10 Events after the Reporting Period.

These translations are available on the eIFRS website (subscription needed).

In addition, a Spanish translation is now available of Request for Information on the Comprehensive Review of the IFRS for SMEs, issued by the IASB in English in June 2012 (comments to be received by 30 November 2012). This document can be accessed via the "Comment on a proposal" webpage.

IFRS Foundation publishes French translation of the 2012 IFRS requirements

The IFRS Foundation has announced the publication of the French translation of the 2012 consolidated IFRS requirements.

eIFRS/Comprehensive subscribers can access the translation in the eIFRS section of the IASB website.

Japanese translation of the proposed Due Process Handbook available

The IFRS Foundation has announced that the Japanese translation of the proposed updated version of the 'IFRS Foundation Due Process Handbook' has been published online.

The handbook is open for public comment until 5 September 2012. The Japanese translation and the English language version of the document can be accessed through the IASB website under this link: http://www.ifrs.org/DPOC/DueProcessHandbook/Handbookand.htm.

IFRS Foundation publishes new French translation

The IFRS Foundation has announced the publication of the French translation of the 'Annual Improvements 2009-2011 cycle'.

eIFRS/Comprehensive subscribers can access the translation in the eIFRS section of the IASB website.

The IASB issued 'Annual Improvements 2009-2011 cycle', a collection of amendments to IFRSs, in response to issues addressed during the 2009–2011 cycle. Five standards are primarily affected by the amendments, with consequential amendments to numerous others. Please click for more information.

The IFRS Foundation has announced the publication of new Japanese and French translations.

The following documents in the Japanese language are now available on the IASB website:

  • 2012 Technical Summaries. The documents can be accessed online via “Access the unaccompanied standards and their technical summaries” on www.ifrs.org
  • The exposure draft Annual Improvements to IFRSs (2010—2012 Cycle), issued by the IASB in English in May 2011. Comments to be received by 5 September 2012. This document can be accessed via the "Comment on a proposal" webpage.
