The United Kingdom Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has initiated a new 'Financial Reporting Lab' (Lab) project aimed to provide insight on effective approaches to disclosing accounting policy information, the ordering of footnotes within financial statements, and the linking or integrating related information on policies and their application.

The FRC is seeking listed companies, investors, and analysts to participate in providing reporting examples and the reasoning behind the content and format used. These examples will be put through a series of tests by the investment community during meetings organised by the Lab.

Companies, investors, and analysts willing to participate in the project are requested to contact the Lab team within the next month. The Lab expects to issue a report on the project's findings by the end of this year.
