FASB issues 2013 Financial Reporting Taxonomy for public comment

The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) has released the proposed 2013 US GAAP Financial Reporting Taxonomy for public review and comment. It contains accounting standards updates and other recommended improvements to the official taxonomy, which is used by public issuers registered with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Comments on the proposed 2013 US GAAP Financial Reporting Taxonomy are due by 29 October 2012. The final version is expected to be finalized and published in early 2013. Click for more information (link to FASB website).
