IFRS in Focus — IASB issues revisions to IFRS 9 for financial liability accounting

On October 28, 2010, the IASB published a revised version of IFRS 9 Financial Instruments. The revised Standard adds guidance on the classification and measurement of financial liabilities and copies the guidance on derecognition of financial instruments and related implementation guidance from IAS 39 Financial Instruments: Recognition and Measurement.
