IFRS Foundation webinar: The business case for early jurisdictional adoption
Episode 1 of the Perspectives in Sustainability Disclosure webcast series considers the business case for the early jurisdictional adoption of the ISSB Standards. The ISSB issued IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 less than a year ago, and IOSCO has already endorsed these new standards. Now many jurisdictions have decided or are taking steps to adopt the ISSB standards as a part of their laws or regulations, or use the standards in other ways to help ensure that entities’ climate and other sustainability-related disclosures can be compared globally. The episode explains the benefits of early jurisdictional adoption for companies and investors as well as for global capital markets.
