Administrative matters – video of multi-ore mine in Australia
The Committee and observers in the meeting room were shown a short video of the proposed development of a large, multi-ore mine in Australia, which is one of the world's largest ore bodies containing copper, gold, silver and uranium. The video demonstrated some of the issues related to the topic that followed - the continuing re-deliberation of the proposed Interpretation on stripping costs. The Chairman provided some commentary, noting in particular that the current estimate of the economic ore body was about 25% of the total amount of rock to be removed.
