Paul Cherry supplemented his written report by noting that the Advisory Council would elevate its attention to the IFRS for SMEs. It intended to use the Comprehensive Review of the IFRS-SME to increase its interest in and engagement with the Standard and the SME Implementation Group,
Mr Cherry also noted that Advisory Council would seek to work more effectively with other IFRSF groups such as the Emerging Markets Committee and the SME Implementation Group, which groups were often better placed to address smaller or more local (but nonetheless critical) issues.
