SEC appoints acting chief accountant

US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced that Paul Munter will become Acting Chief Accountant upon the departure of the current Chief Accountant Sagar Teotia in February.

Mr. Munter is currently Deputy Chief Accountant, leading the office's activities on international matters, which includes working closely with various international organisations including the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), and the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB), among others.
